Around the Island

A Savannah friend of mine described Isle of Hope as majestic. Between the million dollar homes, cottages, historic churches, Wormsloe, the intracoastal waterway and huge oak trees, it really is like a postcard everywhere you look. It feels like you are stepping back in time to the old south. There's something quiet and peaceful about this place that makes you want to ride a bike or drop a line in the water. After living in Atlanta for 7 years (in town 4 years and in suburbia 3 years), it's nice to be back among the sweet tea drinking crowd. It's funny, Atlanta may be in Georgia, but it's definitely not southern. There's lots to miss about that city, don't get me wrong, but I will take this scenery over 400 traffic any day. Can you blame me?

I am still in Dawg country down here in Savannah (which was made easier thanks to SC on Saturday, eh hem, Go Gamecocks), but there seems to be less Auburn here. That seems like a win. Haha.
