Ten Weeks

TEN weeks! Double digits! Ha. I remember getting so excited to be in double digits when I was pregnant. Now I'm just as excited, maybe more so. We are two weeks away from what everyone says is that magical time when infants become, gulp, "better". I think I spoke too soon last week saying how easy E was. She was no Easy E this week.

In her defense, the week started out with her two month shots. Which led to a fever. Which led to vomiting. Which led to crying... on both our ends. But she finally got better, and so did I. Shots are rough.

Check her out here, all sleeping and what not. BAHHAHAHA. She sure can fool you. Girly has been waking up every couple hours this week at night to eat and such. Why, you ask? You have got me. People tell me it's a growth spurt. She was down to 1-2 times at night. This has been the worst regression! I was getting used to Snoozetown, now I'm back in Zombieland. Oh well, she's worth it. I'll remind her of this when she wants a car. Yeah, well mommy wanted sleep 16 years ago, too. Sometimes life is tough, little girl.... then runs to Daddy who buys said car.

My little monkey is mostly wearing 6 months pjs and pants because she's so long. She's gaining weight and getting chunkier everywhere. I love it when babies fill out. She's less crap-I'm-gonna-break-her small and more which-roll-should-I-grab-onto sized. They are so cute all squishy. If only that were true for adults, right?

Speaking of squishy, I still have 15 pounds to lose. They just aren't coming off. I have no time to exercise, or no energy for that matter, so maybe that's a lot of it. And the other 90% of it is due to Girl Scout Cookies. Thin Mints, you devil.

E is coming around to liking her toys now. She used to not pay anything attention really, but now she oohs and ahhs and smiles up at you when you shake random objects at her. It's pretty cute.

One morning this week, after maybe 4 hours of sleep on my end, I made her do a fashion show with me. I had to get my kicks where I could since I was so sleep deprived. We tried on several different outfits. She's finally getting chunky enough to wear the really cute stuff. She was so over it by outfit number 5, though. It was fun while it lasted. My own Barbie Doll.

This happy girl is the smilingest thing you ever did see. This morning I heard her stirring a little bit. She was in her swing just cooing and smiling at the air. Something must have tickled her. It made me laugh. Now, that's waking up on the right side of the bed.

Chunk.

And that's about it for this week. So with that, E says PEACE OUT.
