First, a big thank you to Erin at House of Turquoise for featuring our girl's nursery today!! I've been following Erin's blog for years. She shares some of the most gorgeous homes from some of the most talented designers and architects. Totally swoon worthy. You should definitely follow her if you don't already!
We had a very productive weekend getting things accomplished in the basement! Saturday morning, we picked up a Craigslist find. A like-new gray media stand now lives with us. Score.
We also picked up the flooring we ordered from Home Depot. My SUV was slam packed.
Hubs got it all unloaded, and opened a package so we could get a sneak. I can't wait for it all to be installed! Happening next week... My iPhone pics don't do it justice.
I did a few sketches to show Hubs the direction the room was going. It's best when I can give him a visual. On one wall I plan to do a skirted console and gallery wall using all of Hubs' sports memorabilia.
The room is long and narrow, so we will divide it into two zones. One zone will be for media and will house the sectional, coffee table, a few end tables and the tv/media stand.
The second zone will be for games. Eventually, we will purchase a round table and 4-6 chairs for board games/cards/eating/etc. This area will also be used for Hubs' dart board and we want to install the ring-game.
I started browsing for ideas on accent furniture and accessories. Here's a few World Market pieces I think would compliment the room well.
So, for now it is very much a work in progress. But, it's nice to get a few things off the to do list!
