Outdoor Spaces :: Design Plans

Am I being impatient if I'm checking the status of our permit everyday to build out this screened porch? HA! In the meantime, I'm looking at the budget and scheming up the design plans. Furniture we need, things we can repurpose, and the look and function we want for the two spaces.

For the screened porch, we plan to use it as extended living space. Evans can color and draw to her hearts content and play with her bigger toys like the clubhouse and kitchen. It'll also be home to her bike, car, and stroller when not in use.

The furniture: couch, two chairs, ottomans, and a coffee table. There may be room for a smaller cocktail table as well, but we won't need that right away.

Accessories: punches of aqua and turquoise through pillows and paint, white string lights, lanterns, and POSSIBLY a few planters... although I tend to kill anything green.

For the stamped concrete patio, we plan to use the space for grilling and dining, and possibly a little lounging (who am I kidding, with two small girls is there ever time for lounging?).

The furniture: dining table, chairs, large rectangular umbrella, and two chaise lounges.
My in-laws have a few bar stools they are no longer using and have graciously let us have them- so we will use those at the bar area!

They look similar to this one:

The construction: stamped concrete patio in ashlar slate (funny the pattern is called that as Ashlar is one of my nicknames- ha), bar height counter and cooking prep surfaces.

So excited to see this plan executed! To be continued...
