19 Weeks (tomorrow)!
This week has been filled with firsts. We started baby food!! She's getting the hang of it and really likes pears. So far we've done oatmeal and pears. Tomorrow we will try out squash. The smile on her face when feeding her is so contagious.
Still working on rolling over. She's almost got it and can get quite annoyed when she gets to half way flipped over.
She's discovered her feet and this is now her new favorite toy- her toes.
We had to ditch the sink baths. She has gotten too big and way too wiggly! She loves the big tub!
A whole lot of clean sugar!
We also finally ditched the swaddle! I'd been swaddling her with one arm out for a few days. Then decided just to ditch it cold turkey.
The first night she cried on and off for about 20 minutes, but then slept great. She's officially been unswaddled for 3 nights! I usually put her in footed pajamas or just a little sleep sack blanket.
I don't know why the temp says 78, it's not that hot in our house or I'd die!
This week we also started practicing with a sippy cup. I started Evans early on a cup and she was able to drink by herself from one by 7 months. We'll see how Mae Caroline does, so far she just holds it and chews on it until milk comes out. Ha.
We also saw a deer in our front yard in the middle of the day! Isle of Hope is filled with them, but I've never seen one in our yard in the day time. Crazy!
Mae Caroline thought it was crazy, too...
Speaking of crazy, her first tooth is coming through! It's one of the bottom middle teeth. Can't believe she's getting one already! She doesn't seem bothered but it, but she's definitely drooling!
Typical Day:
7:00-7:30 wakes up. 6 oz bottle
8:15 breakfast (oatmeal or pears, 2 tbsp) and sippy cup (just for practice- 2 oz)
Around 9:00- nap (usually 2 hours)
Around 11:30 6 oz bottle
Around 12:30-1:00 nap 2 (usually 1.5 hours)
2:30-3:00 6 oz bottle
Around 3:30-4:00 nap 3 ( usually 1 hour)
When she wakes up from nap 3 I let her play a while on her mats, tummy time, walk outside, etc.
5:45 bath time!
6:00 8 oz bottle
6:30 in the crib, white noise and pace, down for the night!
Here's to a big girl tub, no swaddle, baby food, first tooth, and a little girl who is filled with joy. We love you, MC!
