Yesterday we turned in the permit application for our screened in porch and patio! YAY! Hopefully construction can begin asap. Here are a few before pictures. The existing brick patio will be the new screened in porch, and the area in front of the chimney will be a stamped concrete grilling patio.
For the patio, we are doing ashlar slate stamps in gray. We'll have an outdoor dining table and all of Hubs' grilling equipment. We'll also have a bar area and prep space area for cooking. Can't wait!!

The screened porch will be something like this. It will continue the roof line of the existing house but will be a step down. The porch roof will also be METAL! Yea! The porch posts will be wide and square and all painted white. The screen porch doors will be.. of course... blue.

The screened porch will be large enough for a good sized sofa, two chairs, and probably a small round cocktail table (oh, and ALL of Evans's big toys, hooray!)
