Painting the Nursery

It was the raniest 4th in the history of 4ths yesterday here in Atlanta. BOO to that. Hubs and I ended up going to see Man of Steel at Cinebistro in Brookhaven. We used to live right down the street from Town Brookhaven, and it was sort of nostalgic to be back there. Aww. For the record, we love Cinebistro. We didn't so much love the movie. I was ready for it to end 45 minutes before the last credits rolled. It was very little plot and way too many CGI action scenes. I really don't need to watch buildings exploding for an hour. Boring.

After the movie, it was still, you guessed it, pouring. Blakely was bored, I was bored, and Hubs was definitely bored. Cabin fever totally got us. So, I convinced Hubs to get to work painting the nursery, and he was sweet enough to take me up on the offer.

Before it was a mustardy beige color from the previous owners. This is the only room besides the basement that we hadn't painted yet since moving in two years ago.

And here it is now after two coats! Yay, much better and fresher I think! The room still needs edging in some places, but the painting is just about done! I love a new coat of paint on the walls. Makes everything feel so clean.

Gotta love horrible iphone pictures. The walls are Benjamin Moore White Dove, and the trim is Benjamin Moore Windswept.

It's basically milky white on the walls and creamy white on the trim. What can I say, I like dairy.

Hopefully the painting will be finished over the weekend and I can start cleaning this place up a bit, and start looking at bringing in some furniture. :)
