How far along? Wrapping up 27 weeks and starting my 28th week today. My "What to Expect" app reminded me this is the start of third trimester. Hooray, 2/3rds done!
Size of baby? 16 inches head to toe, and over 2 pounds
How I'm changing? I'm continuing to get large. Large. Large. LARGE. Just when I think I can't get any bigger, I do and then some. 19 pounds gained. Sciatic nerve pain is continuing, but at least it isn't constant and I know how to deal with it now (heating pad and prayer). Still no stretch marks or linea nigra. No heart burn or swelling. We'll see how the next few months go. In the meantime, stripes have never worked so hard....
Maternity clothes? YES, and did I ever need them. I'm borrowing from my friend Ash, and my mom and mother-in-law took me shopping last weekend. It's amazing how much more comfortable maternity clothes are than squeezing into normal clothes like I have been for the last 7 months. Oops.
Movement? YES. She is getting strong! I've started to notice her routine. She usually starts kicking around 6:30 in the morning. Then she has a kicking spell between 11-3 while I'm working, and again at night just after dinner. Then she must fall into a deep sleep because I don't feel her again until the next morning. It will be funny if this is her sleep pattern when she comes into the world.
Best moment of the week? I already mentioned my mother-in-law bringing us my niece's cradle and a box full of clothes. We also received a package from our friends Paul and Spring this week filled with goodies for baby and me! Nursing covers, swaddles, blankets, a wipe dispenser and a few other baby related items.
They also sent a flag to fly once baby girl arrives. I'll admit, receiving the package and reading Spring's sweet card made me cry!! So thoughtful.
What will baby girl look like? Two weeks until our 3d/4d ultrasound at See Baby. I can hardly wait to see this little bit again!
Will she be chunky like Hubs was with blonde hair and curls?
Or a petite baby like me with dimples?
Time will tell. Three months until my due date! We cannot wait.
