Savannah Dream Home: Part I

Over the weekend, we went down to Savannah, GA to visit my family. I finally got a chance to get over to my cousin Betsy and her hubby Niko's new house on exclusive Modena Island. They bought the home a few years ago, and did some extensive remodeling. Well, it is GORGEOUS. You don't have to believe me, just see for yourself. I regret not having my real camera with me because iPhone pics really don't do it justice. I don't think I've ever seen so much marble in my whole life.

If you are still with me and haven't stroked out yet... Check out the master bath. Betsy said her vision for this room was to have it look like marble threw up everywhere. I think she got it. FLOOR TO CEILING. I flipped out over this one. Have you ever seen such a beautiful bathroom?

Walk in shower. WALK IN.

That chandelier, that freestanding tub. Lawd child.

Her vanity area.

Watts playing in the shower. :)

And the closet off the bathroom was amazing. It was about the size of one of my guest rooms. It included his and her sides.

The view was breathtaking. The home is situated on big water, what's not to love about that?

I didn't get a picture of the pool house, but you can see it in the corner of this picture. It has a bar area and shaved ice machine for snow cones and whatever else you can dream up.

View from the dock

Hubs made himself at home on the dock. Ha.

View from the boat.

Alright, that's it for part I. Come back tomorrow for part II as I share the guest rooms, play room, etc. If you have questions about sources (paint colors, fabrics, etc) I'll be happy to ask Betsy for you.
Thanks Betsy and Niko for the tour!  Love ya!
