Small Scale Christmas

Is everyone decking the halls now or what? It's finally December! This is definitely my favorite time of the year. It's so warm and cozy and filled with family, what's not to love? This year it's also the month we are expecting our first little girl.... Well, second little girl if you count the Blakely bear (which we do).

Typically, I go all out for Christmas. It's so fun to decorate. I usually do two trees, have something going on in every bathroom, on the stairs, in the dining room, and Hubs will string a gazillion lights in our yard. This year, however, the thought of putting all of that stuff away in January with a newborn kind of made us seasick. So, we opted to do the bare minimum. Hubs pulled down a couple boxes from the attic and we decided to just put up one tree in the living room.

Blakely is not that fond of the Christmas tree. For one, it's taking her spot in the sun. And two, she doesn't quite understand why she can't chew on those pine cones when she's a regular pine cone chewer in the yard....Her face says it all here.

And my photo skills at work again, ha... I promise the tree is garnet and not pink in real life :)

Even the mantle stayed simple this year

And that's it for holiday decor this year. Merry Christmas from our house to yours!
