Joussard Linen Club Chairs

Apparently for me, nesting means trying to get every room situated. Ha. Some people clean, I decorate. Much to my hubby's dislike. :) I'm starting to slowly get the living room together after moving our big sectional down to the basement. There's still plenty to do in here, and likely none of it will be done this year, but the new couch and club chairs make me so happy. I thought I'd give a quick review in case anyone is contemplating new chairs.

The chairs I went with are the Joussard Linen Club Chairs in gray. They are wonderful. We actually have these chairs in the natural color in our home office and one in our master bedroom, so I knew what to expect. They are smaller than a full scale wing back chair, but definitely larger than a slipper chair. At 5'3, they are perfect for my size. But, even my husband says they are comfortable. The color is a true charcoal gray. Some of my pictures read navy, but that's my photography skills at work. In real life, they are definitely a deep gray. Hubs likes them because they are "manly". Overall, I would definitely buy these again. The price is unbeatable and the quality is really good. Like I said, we already have them in the natural color, and they have held up to a chocolate lab who loves to chew/sniff/slobber on everything.

At any rate, I'm almost done with our living room! It's funny how much my tastes have changed since we first moved into this house 2 years ago. When we first moved in, I was all about coastal flavors and blue. I still love that style, but it just wasn't gelling that well in this particular house. I've grown to love a neutral palette with tons of textural elements and patterns. I think you can get away with mix-n-match very easily when your color palette stays cohesive.

Have you made any great furniture purchases lately? Am I the only one whose tastes have changed, and changed, and then changed again? It'd be funny to take a trip down memory lane and see the different rooms I've lived in since high school... maybe a post for another day.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!
